Expected Offspring for '08
Two or Three clutches of Triple hets=
X![]()
These are where it’s at if you want to eventually own practically every rare beautiful morph of suboc out there. Our biggest sellers; we sold out of all 2006 Triple Het pairs months before any even hatched! These are the key to making snow Trans-Pecos Ratsnakes, among other rare or unprecedented morphs like snow blonde, albino blonde and H-patterned silvers!
We do anticipate hatching out four clutches in 2007, but we will only sell just fewer than three of these clutches. People have already made reservations for 2007 Triple Hets, so don’t hesitate to reserve your own designer suboc project!
$3500/pair or $2250 for lone females and $1250 for lone males
One clutch of Orange x Blonde=
X![]()
This is a first for herpetoculture! As far as we know, no one has ever bred a brilliant orange suboc with a blonde to get het offspring for a soon-to-be designer morph that we have named “Strawberry Blonde”.
The orange color of normally patterned orange subocs is beautiful to behold, but it should be amplified much more vibrantly in Strawberry Blonde Trans-Pecos Ratsnakes. We succeeded making some beautiful orange heterozygous babies in '07. We hope to repeat in '08.
This is one our most exciting pairings for 2008. Pioneering new morphs is about as fun as it gets in reptile keeping.
One clutch of Triple het X Triple het=
X![]()
These have the potential of producing morph variations galore! Albinos, albino blondes, snows, snow blondes, axanthics, axanthic blondes, blondes, etc. are all possible outcomes for ’08. Any axanthic or axanthic blondes from this breeding will be Trumbower silvers. All offspring will be highly possible hets for Snow. Stay tuned to see which morphs will pop out from this pairing!
Several clutches of Triple Het X Het Albino=
X
The cool thing about this is that any albinos out of these pairings will be possible hets for silver, and therefore het for snow! This will make the probability of throwing a snow much more likely when bred to other Trans-Pecos Ratsnakes that are also het for snow.
Please inquire about 2008 albino Trans-Pecos Ratsnakes. Since they will be highly possible hets for snow, very few (if any) will be sold.
One clutch of Patternless X Albino =
X![]()
We will breed our one-of-a-kind Patternless male to a virgin albino female (Loma Alta). These will be the first ever hets for Patternless.
One clutch of Patternless X Silver =
X![]()
We will breed our one-of-a-kind Patternless male to a virgin normally patterned silver female. These will be the first ever hets for Patternless.
One clutch of Axanthic Blonde x Het Blonde =
X
Blondes that are het for axanthic and normals that are double hets will be the outcome.
One clutch of Axanthic Blonde x Normal =
X
Double Hets are nice to have, because they are the ingredients for Normally-Patterned Silvers, which are new and rare in collections. These will be half Alpine locality offspring (the dam) and het for axanthic and blonde (axanthic blonde sire), bringing new outcrossed blood into the axanthic line. If you want to try a new look, here is your chance.
One clutch of Axanthic Blonde x Double Het=
X
Double Hets, Blondes het for Axanthic, Axanthic Blondes, and Normally-Patterned Silvers that are het for Blonde are possible outcomes. Fingers crossed for this pairing.
