Dubbed "Oro del Rio" (River Gold) phase by Dean McInturff, this is an extremely rare color variation of the orange phase originating from Presidio County , TX .
They have a scale-sheen reminiscent of a vintage gold-top Les Paul guitar, but with a fusion of orange throughout the body. Truly unique. A husky, handsome race with slate-gray eyes set against a golden-orange body.
The above golden-orange (Oro del Rio) phase Trans-Pecos Ratsnake is the same animal as in the photo below. In summer of 2007, we bred him into the blonde phase to make baby subocs that are 100% orange x 
blonde. These will be, to our knowledge, the first animals capable of making what we call "Strawberry Blondes".
