Other Western Ratsnakes at Suboc.com

Besides the Trans-Pecos Ratsnake, we do work with a few other snakes - mostly other species of Desert Ratsnakes of the American Southwest and even Mexico.

Mexican Baird's Ratsnakes from Nuevo Leon (Galeana, Mexico locality from Ft. Worth Zoo and Chipinque, Mexico locality from San Antonio Zoo stock)

We are proud to work with rare 100% locality-specific Mexican Elaphe bairdi. Silver heads, maize-orange bodies, and white chins - these are extremely different from Texas Baird's Ratsnakes, and some herpetologists think that they may be a separate subspecies.

Ours are unrelated adults from Ft. Worth Zoo (our female is from FWZ keeper Steve Hammack of H.I.S.S.), and San Antonio Zoo stock (our male is from SAZ keeper Alan Kardon). 100% locality-specific, documented-legal Mexican Baird's. This just can't be beat.

*Our female laid eight good eggs on April 24th and 25th, 2007. 1.2 babies hatched, and we're holding these gorgeous creatures back! More in '08...would be great!

Topmost is our male Mexican Baird's Ratsnake - San Antonio Zoo stock, and above right, our female - Ft. Worth Zoo stock.

Baja Ratsnakes (Bogertophis rosaliae) - The Trans-Pecos Ratsnake's closest relative!

We've got a group of these amazing creatures from Ian Recchio and Tim Turmezei bloodlines. This yellowish subadult is from Ian Recchio lines. Ian is the Curator of Reptiles at the Los Angeles Zoo.

Arizona Green Ratsnakes (three localities in our collection - Baboquivari, Chiricahua, and Santa Rita Mountains)

**More info on these soon.**

Expected offspring 2008.

One of our adult pairs. Photo by Steve and Kelli Hammack of H.I.S.S.

This lovely dispositioned animal (strong sarcasm) is an example of the Honduran subspecies of the Green Ratsnake, Senticolis triaspis mutabilis.

Anerythristic Grey-banded Kingsnakes

Okay, not a ratsnake, but definitely a VERY COOL Lampropeltinine project worth keeping. This little lady is one of only two Blair's phase Anerys from this locality (N Sanderson). It isn't known if this strain of anerythrism is compatible with the other(s), but this is, by far, the prettiest and cleanest, in our opinion!
