Paint Jobs: Blonde Pattern: Strawberry Blonde
Other common names: Orange Blonde
In the making!
In 2007 and 2008, we bred an orange phase male Trans-Pecos Ratsnake with a mustard blonde female to make animals that have the genetics of both orange and blonde. And you know what that means...the "ingredients" for a NEW morph!
Visions of Strawberry Blondes have been dancing around in my head since before I ever conceived of Suboc.com. Making these Orange x Blonde babies is a literal dream come true for me. I will try my best to make some of these every year hereafter, in hopes of outcrossing the orange color into the blonde pattern.
The blonde pattern often has a hypomelanistic effect on the color of an animal, and it is my belief that the orange color will manifest itself even more vibrantly on a blonde patterned animal.
The 2007 and 2008 hets are a beautiful orange color, and luckily, the clutch was female-heavy 2007 (1.5 hatched, in total) and male-heavy in 2008 (6.0).
